An email about Animal Jam parent accounts being compromised because of a data breach from AJ's new parent company Nazara has been sent out to emails that were exposed within the data breach back in 2020.

This email is NOT REAL.

If your email was exposed within the data breach, you might get this eventually from phishers trying to get your parent email password. Remember to check the email address in regards to emails like these, official animal jam emails only use the @animaljam.com domain. Do not click any links from emails in regards to resetting your password.

Not sure if you were in the data breach? you can check https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if your email was in Animal Jam or another website's data breach.

Hey Jammers, this announcement is just a friendly reminder about trading and selling items through My Shops. These are not by means new rules, this is a reminder.

We understand a lot of you come from other Wikis that allow different rules to what we allow. We kindly ask that you follow ours and not argue that another Wiki allows differently.

Policies

Do not break Animal Jam rules, please read here.

• Attempts to defraud other players or take their in-game items by gaining their trust (i.e. "scamming") are absolutely not tolerated and will result immediately in the loss of access to Animal Jam.

• Do not sell items or accounts for real currency.

Trading

• Do not attempt to scam, hack or promise free membership or sapphires.

• Only use the Animal Jam trade system, cross-trades are not allowed.

• No trust trading or promising items in return for other items first. This includes selling items for over the maximum allowed amount (currently 5k Sapphires).

• Don't promise items in return for people buying items from your My Shop.

In most instances, you will be warned and the content deleted. Continued action after a warning will result in a block.

Update version 65.0.14 of Animal Jam has seen the removal of the word 'Rare' from 'Rare' tagged items, however, these items have kept their 'Rare' tags.

In response, our editing and staff team have been hard at work to restructure the Wiki. You may notice a few changes to how some pages are displayed or named. This is to also reflect the way the updated Chat Search Feature works by displaying all variants of an Item.

Below is an outline of the changes being made.

Rare Item Pages

All formerly named 'Rare' Items have been moved in accordance to the way they are obtained or if they were the original 'Rare' variant.

We are looking to do this with RIMs in the near future.

When creating a page please add /<Location> to the title of a page if it has a rare tagged variant or unreleased variant different from the original variant.

• Pack Runs

• Pet Expedition

• Phantom Dimension

• Promo

Here are a few tips provided by Animal Jam to help keep your account and items safe.

Follow the Animal Jam TOS.

• Do not play unsafely or inappropriately! Animal Jam does not tolerate activities involving inappropriate relationships or themed parties.

• Do not ask for or give personal information! This includes your full name, phone number, home address, email address, school name, or your username and password to Animal Jam or any other site.

• Cheaters never prosper! This includes scamming other players for items, not being honest with a trade, and using codes and additional programs to change your Animal Jam experience.

• Report and log off! If someone makes you feel bad or uncomfortable, you have the right to report them. There are in-game tools to help you block and report troublesome players, and be sure to tell your parent or a trusted grown-up. Remember: it is OK to protect yourself.

Protect yourself from hacks.

No one can get onto your account if it’s properly secure. Please review the following guidelines for maintaining a safe account:

• Creating a SAFE password.

• Don't share your password with ANYONE!

• Don't visit sites offering to give anything for free.

• Don't give information about hidden elements within your account or settings.

• Don't download any tool or program that supposedly changes how the game would normally run.

• Don't leave your account logged into any device.

Protect yourself from scams.

Don’t be fooled by things like the following:

• “My trade button is broken or not working like it’s supposed to.”

• “My trade button is glitched.”

• “If you give me your item, then I’ll give you a different/better item or more items."

• “If you give me your rare item, I’ll purchase a membership for you.”

• “My computer/game is lagging, so just gift it to me, and I’ll give it to you later.”

• “Keep trading me and you’ll have a chance to get more or better items."

• “Can I try that on? I’ll give it right back."

• Attending free giveaways.

• Trust Trades.

• Offers to decline a trade when you use the trading system.

• Offers to only accept the “best trades.”

We have recently removed Off-Topic and Polls from discussions to combat large amounts of spam.

What does this mean for myself and my friends?

You can still socialize on Message Walls of other users. We just keep discussions purely Animal Jam or Wiki-based. You can invite your friends to other games or chat with them there.

To get to a Message Wall, click on the user's profile and click Message Wall.

Pings may not currently work but you can always leave a message on another user's Message Wall asking them to view another message or post.

Our Policies still apply and anything with over 500 replies will be locked.

Another option: Our Wiki has a purpose-made Discord server for chatting with friends

What does this mean for Polls?

Polls can still be posted as long as they are Animal Jam or Wiki-related into their respective categories.

For example: If you would like to sell something in a My Shop and are not sure how much to sell it for, you can create a poll in 'My Shops'.

Will Off-Topic and Polls be added back?

At this stage, we aren't adding them back. This could change in the foreseeable future.

If you see a problematic user that is violating our policies, this is what you can do.

What to do

• Report the comment/reply by hovering over the three dots and clicking 'Report Post' as per the example below.

• Report the matter to a staff member directly on their message wall by providing a link to the rule violation.

• Tag a staff member in the discussion thread or comment. Please do not spam tag staff as this can make it harder to resolve.

What NOT to do

• Don't reply to them and make the situation worse. This also makes it harder for staff to resolve the issue.

• Do not mini-mod a situation.

• Do not harbor underage users. Fandom requires all users with accounts to be over 13 years old. Block evasion will get anyone involved blocked.

Stay safe and follow the policies.

Just remember, sometimes the staff cannot get to the problem instantly. Please be patient while the issue gets resolved.

Discussions

Discussions are posts that are made publically and all users are welcome to reply to them. These posts must fall into the following categories. Please do not have general conversations with friends or groups as discussions are for discussing either the Wiki or Animal Jam.

Anything that is general spam or anything sharing personal information will be deleted.

Blogs

Blogs are pages where users can create blogs to share anything Animal Jam-related. For example: a user can post a masterpiece showcase of all the art a user has created.

Do not add any other categories other than [[Blog Posts]].

Message Walls

Message Walls are a space on a user page that allows users to contact one person in particular. For example; this can be used to send a user a post about trading without making it public in discussions.

If you would like to chat with friends either create a private group on another site or join our Discord server.

Discussion Categories are used to organize posts into categories that make it easier for other users to find your post. They can be added to a post after you click 'Next'.

List of Categories

General

This includes anything Animal Jam or Wiki-related that doesn't belong in the other categories.

Off-Topic

This includes anything that isn't Animal Jam or Wiki-related.

Trading

This includes any trading-related posts such as trades, offers, trading lists, and asking about the worths of items. Any cross-trading will be removed and the user will be warned.

My Shops

This includes any posts related to my shops such as posting your own My Shops and asking for pricing help.

Artistic Creations

This includes any Masterpiece, MasterBlock, or any other artworks. The only exception; out of game commissions for in-game items are not permitted.

Polls

Generally, polls will be posted here, however, trading-related polls can be posted in Trading.

Glitches and Bugs

This is where you can share any glitches or bugs you may encounter in the game.

If you need help with-in Animal Jam or the Wiki, you can ask here. If you have any account issues related to Animal Jam, we suggest sending a request through their help desk as we are not affiliated with Wild Works.
