Buddies are Jammers that have been added to a users Buddy List. When you are buddies with someone, their name tag and chat bubbles are green.
Buddy Request[]
Jammers can send Buddy requests by clicking the Add Buddy button on their Player Card. The player card can be viewed by clicking the Jammers nametag or by searching them through the Buddy List. When a buddy request is sent, the Jammer that receives it will see the avatar and username of the sender. They can either accept or decline the Buddy request. If the request was accepted, a window will pop up saying the user is now friends with that Jammer.
It is possible to unbuddy by clicking the Buddy button on a Jammer's card.
Benefits[]
There are a number of benefits to becoming Buddies with other Jammers.
Follow a Buddy[]
Follow a Buddy to any unlocked location around Jamaa by using their Player Card while online through clicking the blue arrow. The arrow will not appear if the Jammer is offline. If the player appears online but the arrow does not show, it means the player is either in an only-animal area and you don't have that animal, or the player's internet connection is bad.
Buddy List[]
When a Buddy is added, they are put in the Buddy List. This list allows Jammers to quickly view the Player Card for any of their buddies.
Locked Dens[]
Buddies can visit each other's dens when they are locked to "Buddies Only," but not when they're locked from All Jammers.
Buddy Chat[]
Jammers can click 'Buddies Only' in chat history to see what their buddy has said.
Green Nametag[]
Buddies will have a green nametag and green chat bubble so they can be easily seen.
Jam-A-Grams[]
Only Buddies can send Jam-A-Grams to each other.
Trivia[]
- Buddy requests can be disabled through a toggle button in the settings menu.
- Before, Jammers had a maximum of 100 buddies. The amount of buddies was increased to 150 in an update on February 3, 2021.
- When making a new account the buddy list shows 0/1000, but when a player is buddied it drops to 150.
