Jamaa is a series of unified lands that all animals can freely travel between. In Jamaa, Jammers can make friends, play games, trade with others, customize their own dens, shop for items, discover secrets, and much more.
Legends of Jamaa[]
There are many legends and stories within the world of Jamaa, most of which have evolved overtime since the creation of Animal Jam. It is almost impossible to narrow them down as to when and by who they were created.
Founders[]
The world of Jamaa was founded by 3 species: the Monkey, the Wolf and the Rabbit.
Phantoms[]
Phantoms are the villains of most legends. They appear like octopuses but are ink black with one giant eye in the center. They emit electricity and will shock Jammers until they fall asleep and need to be revived at a check point. They make odd noises when approached and can sometimes create different color bolts. Phantoms are hard to generalize considering some appear in different shapes and forms on numerous occasions (Games, Den, Clothing, Furniture, etc.).

Land Legends[]
Land legends include things like jumping on the ice in Mt. Shiveer, or jumping on the Canyon bridge in Coral Canyons, both of which are similar in fashion. A large amount of Jammers have to jump on the ice/bridge which will slowly crack or start to crumble. The ice/bridge finally breaks and Jammers gain Sapphires or fall through a Secret Store with all the items ever available in Jamaa. However, neither of these legends are actually true or doable, as though it crumbles or cracks nothing fully breaks and no prizes are rewarded.

Lands of Jamaa[]
There are 8 different lands in Jamaa, each are of a different biodiversity and environment. There is a unnamed river that flows between and around all of these lands, it is unclear if the river is salt or freshwater. Unlike in Animal Jam Classic, there are no underwater lands currently available to explore. When a new land comes out it is considered as "discovering" or "taking back" land from the Phantoms.
Jamaa Township[]
Jamaa Township is the center of Jamaa itself! Most of the trading and major shops are here, it also has a pillow room where people socialize, trade, and advertise. There is a big Mira statue and also the Panda's secret area. It is one of Jamaa's oldest lands, everything was built around this one land. When you danced around the Mira statue, the statue would flip its wing, shown on the GIF below. However, as of May 4, 2023, dancing around the Mira statue does nothing.

Appondale[]
Appondale is an African savannah themed land, it is rather small but very detailed. It has Claws 'N Paws, Lion's Secret Area, Fox’s Secret Area, and the Conservation Center. The land has a giant mud pit where your animal can turn brown, which will slowly fade away with time, or when you step into water. You can climb on top of the Claws' N' Paws shop, which envelops you in bright, yellow leaves. When you sit beside the fox passage, a horde of zebra will appear in the horizon.
Kimbara Outback[]
Kimbara Outback is an Australian themed land, it has orange sand and stone. There is some “odd” wildlife and a giant river and waterfall in the center; a bridge made of wood connects the highest farthest right point to the highest farthest left point.
Mt. Shiveer[]
Mt. Shiveer is the highest area of Jamaa and is mountain themed. It has lots of snowy and icy areas. It also has an ice slide, iced over lake, hot spring, fire pit, Hot Cocoa Hut, and many secret areas, such as the Snow Leopard's, Deer's, and Arctic Wolf’s. There is a secret on where some steam pop out in front of the lake, and in the ice was carved a plesiosaurus fossil. When 4 jammers sat beside the bridge that leads to Sarepia Forest, Bigfoot will appear, somehow if you picture him with the ingame camera, you could get Bigfeet. When you also dance around the firepit, Mira would appear, but with a blue fire.

Sarepia Forest is a rather large land, which has a movie theater, slide, many tree top platforms, Tree Top Garden Shop, fire pit, Walls n' Floors, and lots of space to hang out with friends. It also contains the Eco Shop, Lemur Lounge, and Monkey Kingdom.
Lost Temple of Zios[]
Lost Temple of Zios is swamp themed, and has lots of ruined statues and unknown remains. It has a giant statue that used to be a ruin, fallen somehow into a pit, and Phantoms would rise out of the pit and fly around it when animals sleep there but was restored for an unknown reason in the Eclipse event. Raccoon River is located at the end of one of the river flowing through the land. Bunny Burrow appears as a rabbit hole directly across it. There are also multiple empty abandoned buildings. The Chamber of Knowledge, which contains books of animal facts that you can read, is located in the Lost Temple of Zios and has stairs inside that lead to the pet-tier making room and the minigame Sky Explorer. The Lost Temple of Zios also the Crafting Lab, Crystallis, and the minigames Falling Phantoms and Temple of Trivia
Coral Canyons[]
Coral Canyons is a canyon themed land, which has a bridge, Den Depot, Epic Wonders, Art Studio, Horse Haven, Wild Explorers Tent, Canyons Pathway and the Wolf Cave. Many minigames can also be found in the land. It also has a large waterfall and is one of the original lands. When you sit on the corner on the opposite side of Jumbled Up, a UFO will appear. On the bridge, jumping causes sand and rock to fall down, and dancing causes rain to appear. On the bench beside the Horse Haven, when 2 jammers sit together, a heart would appear behind the bench.
Crystal Sands[]
Crystal Sands is a beach themed land with water slides, a few minigames, Tierney's Aquarium, the Juice Hut, and the Tiger Resort. It is one of the original lands. When you sit on the pier beside the Tiger Resort, a dolphin would appear doing stunts. When you sit on the pier beside the expedition button, a submarine telescope would appear, a few seconds later, a shark's fin would appear.
Moku'ahi[]
Moku'ahi is an island formed by an active volcano that has two shops and waterslides. It was released on July 31, 2019. When you danced on where Leilani is standing, the volcano would erupt and causing black clouds at the top.
Mesoterra[]
Mesoterra is an archosaurs only area. It has two shops, three easter eggs, and leads to Mt. Shiveer and Appondale. Mesoterra was released on November 3, 2021.
