Membership grants Jammers with access to a number of exclusive in-game benefits for both Animal Jam and Animal Jam Classic. Membership was first added to Animal Jam Classic in 2010, and in Animal Jam on May 2017.

Purchasing Membership[]
Membership can be purchased in-game through the Premium Shop as a 1-month recurring membership (subscription), through the Membership shop in the Sapphire Shop as a 1-month membership for 600 Sapphires or through Animal Jam as either a 1-month recurring payment, a 6-month recurring payment, or a 12-month one-time payment. Recurring memberships will automatically renew when the membership is about to expire, resulting in additional charges. Membership cards can be purchased through Animal Jam Outfitters or as a gift card from participating retailers.
Cancelling Membership[]
Membership bought in-app can be cancelled through the app store and account it was purchased on. Membership bought through the website will need to be canceled or turning auto-renewal off by accessing the Parent Dashboard for the player's account. If auto-renewal is disabled before a membership expires, the membership will continue without interruption until its expiration date, at which point it will simply end without any additional charges.
Refer A Friend[]
The Refer A Friend program in Animal Jam allows players to send referral links to their friends. If the people who were referred purchased a new membership, the original player would receive certain rewards including temporary Membership to Animal Jam Classic and Animal Jam if the accounts are linked.
Expiration[]
After a membership expires the Jammer loses access to the exclusive membership features, including:
- Pack Chest Gifts
- Membership sign next to their nametag
- 5 Sapphires everyday
- Weekly Membership Gifts
- x2 Gems from Minigames
- Access to exclusive Sapphire items sold by the Traveling Salesman
The Jammer will still be able to keep all their items, animals, dens and pets.
Trivia[]
- Animal Jam grants a few days after the Membership expires to renew the membership, allowing players to have Membership for a few days after expiration.
- In July 2018, Members could login to get 10 Sapphires every day for the whole month.
- Before December 2019, Members without packs would have an AJ symbol. This was later changed to an M symbol, then to a paw print.
- On March 26th, 2020, free membership was given to a Jammer for two weeks if they redeemed the code AJFREE. However, if a Jammer already had an active membership, they were given 150 Sapphires instead.
- The price for Membership was accidentally raised to 700 sapphires on December 1, 2021. Players who bought the Membership for 700 sapphires later received a 300 sapphire refund when the glitch was fixed and the price was lowered.
