The Mystery Chest was a feature added on May 29, 2019 that allows Jammers to watch a short video advert to win a random prize contained in the chest. The Mystery chest could be opened up to 15 times a day by the player. It contained Gems, Sapphires, Den Items, Clothing Items or Rare Items.
This feature was being tested on some accounts and only accessible on Google Play versions of Play Wild. Steam and Amazon didn't have this feature. It was temporarily available on IOS, until it was eventually removed off of IOS. Later it was removed off of Google Play versions of Animal Jam.
Eventually the feature was declared to be permanently removed on November 13, 2020.

Special Emoticon[]
Since July 2, 2019, once a player has watched all adverts they can that day a special emoticon appears in the emote list. The emoticon will disappear once the day resets at 12:00am GMT and can be obtained again by watching all the available adverts again.
Trivia[]
- From May 29, 2019 to June 4, 2019 only 3 ads could be watched a day per account but this increased on June 5, 2019.
- On July 2, 2019, the limit of adverts that can be watched a day increased to a maximum of 15 adverts.
- On July 2, 2019, the Mystery Chest can be found at the Jam Mart Clothing, Jam Mart Furniture, and the Sapphire Shop.
- On November 11, 2020, the Mystery Chest was removed off of Google Play versions of Animal Jam.
- On November 13, 2020 the Mystery Chest was announced to no longer be a part of Animal Jam.
