The Phantom Hunt is an event where Jammers work together to defeat Phantoms. Phantoms will drop chests once defeated that reward players with randomized prizes. Phantoms randomly appear anywhere in Mt. Shiveer, Jamaa Township, Crystal Sands, Coral Canyons, Lost Temple of Zios, Appondale, Kimbara Outback, and Sarepia Forest. Phantoms will appear every few minutes, holding a gift accompanied by a phantom laughter sound effect. After defeated, the phantom will drop two gifts, containing randomly generated prizes. One gift is for members only, the other is for both members and non-members. This feature was introduced on October 6, 2021.

Trivia

• On October 6, 2021, once the Phantom Portal countdown was done, Phantoms were seen leaving the Phantom Dimension in lead up to the Phantom Battle.
  • In addition, there is a Paintseed Tree and Phantom Prep Shop in Alpha Headquarters.
• Chests grant the same prize to all players that are currently in the land.
  • There are two chests, one member and one non-member.
    • These chests disappear after a few seconds if not collected.
• The Phantoms take a total of 42 Paintseeds to defeat.
• During Jamaalidays 2021;
  • Phantoms only drop one gift.
  • Phantoms move and fly away if not defeated in a certain amount of time.
  • Jamaa Journal entry for Liza on December 8, 2021, stated the Phantoms have not made their way to Moku'ahi or Mesoterra.
• If a Jammer summons a Phantom and defeats it entirely themselves, they may earn up to 225xp (A Jammer earns 200xp for defeating a Phantom themself, and 25xp for hitting the Phantom multiple times)
  • This usually takes an average of 40-50 paintseeds.
